Mitchells and Butlers

SEVEN have successfully completed a short term, value focused engagement with the UK's leading pub and restaurant company, Mitchells & Butlers, to investigate opportunities to improve the efficiency of their Forecasting & Planning processes.  Upon completion of this engagement, the following requested deliverables were achieved:

• All current processes were mapped, analysed and fully documented
• Issues were gathered through workshop and individual sessions
• Current and future risks were assessed and new business improvement opportunities identified
• A new, mapped, documented 'To-Be' process was developed and recommended to senior management

This project perfectly demonstrated how SEVEN can quickly understand complicated planning and execution processes in order to rapidly develop a great business case for change - in this case how to streamline different forecasting & planning processes into an integrated business planning process that including simplifying the budgeting and quarterly / period target setting procedures.

An Opportunities Roadmap for the short, medium, and long term objectives was also laid out which enabled Mitchells & Butlers to commence the actual implementation immediately after SEVEN's proposal was accepted, thereby gaining rapid return on the investment made.

This short engagement has helped Mitchells & Butlers to identify and remove non-optimal processes, avoid duplications of effort, improve systems capability and increase the effectiveness of existing resources.
